Blankets for T.O. hosted our first general meeting of the 2022-2023 academic year this past Wednesday, September 14th, 2022.

Our co-presidents introduced Blankets for T.O. to the student community at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Attendees learned about our inspiration for the organization, our accomplishments thus far, and our goals for the coming year. We setup a Kahoot to test their knowledge on our club, and brought free pizza (!!!) at the end of the event. We gave attendees a chance to buy Blankets for T.O.-themed merchandise (did you know that we have a merch store?) and sign up for membership on the spot.

Come join our Fall Carnival next week

We are happy to announce that Blankets for T.O. is hosting a Fall Carnival on Friday, September 23rd 2022 at 1:00pm on UTSC in the trail area behind the Humanities Wing. Participants will have the chance to participate in a scavenger hunt, a water balloon fight, eat freezies, and win big prizes through our carnival games. Come have fun on a Friday afternoon and meet new friends!

We are hiring for new executive team members

During the meeting, we announced that Blankets for T.O. is hiring for six new executive positions for the coming year:

Secretary: Regularly checks emails, sends out monthly newsletters, updates blogs, and engages with general members.
First Year Representative: Sends emails to sponsors, makes announcements for club events in first-year classes, and raises awareness for the club.
Second Year Representative: Sends emails to sponsors, makes announcements for club events in classes, and raises awareness for the club.
Third Year Representative: Sends emails to sponsors, makes announcements for club events in classes, and raises awareness for the club.
Fourth Year Representative: Sends emails to sponsors, makes announcements for club events in classes, and raises awareness for the club.
Graphic Designer: Creates posts, TikTok content, reels. They should be proficient in Canva and other editing tools.

Applicants for the executive positions can submit their application here before the application deadline of Wednesday, September 21st, 2022 at 11:59pm. Joining the executive team is a unique experience to work with a great team and a chance to develop your own skills, so we highly encourage everyone to apply!
