As a Halloween-themed fundraiser, Blankets for T.O. hosted a pumpkin carving event on October 28th, 2022 for the student community at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Entry tickets were sold to help raise money for the organization to fund future events and donations.

Over a two hour event, participants got a chance to carve out a pumpkin to their heart’s content while they enjoyed a horror movie in the background. For the cost of $7, attendees were given scoops, carving utensils, and a pumpkin to carve. Members were given a discount price of $4. I can’t think of a better way to enjoy the Friday evening before Halloween!

Afterwards, we held a contest over our Instagram to have our followers vote for the best pumpkin carved at the event! As voted by our community, the best pumpkin carver will receive a small Amazon gift card for their outstanding creation.

Thank you to everyone that came out for the event! We look forward to seeing you all again very soon!
